He co-founded CELCOM Telecoms, a fixed wireless CDMA telecommunications company, which he later sold to VODAFONE.
As Chairman of the YSG Group, a conglomerate of eight companies and various other ventures operating in the fields of hotels, oil and gas, real estate, LPD, industrial gases, healthcare, information technology, dredging and quarrying, FOREX and tire importation, Vincent Obianodo has established himself as a successful businessman and philanthropist.
In recognition of his contributions to the nation’s economic growth, former President Olusegun Obasanjo conferred the prestigious Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) on Chief Vincent Obianodo on behalf of the Government of Nigeria in 2001. The Group’s CEO, Mr. Obiora Vincent Obianodo, is responsible for overseeing the group and its subsidiaries.
