Early life and education
As a child, Volodymyr Zelenskyy moved to Mongolia with his parents, namely Rimma Zelenskaya (mother) and Oleksandr Zelensky (father). They spent 4 years in Erdenet, then returned to Kryvyy Rih, where he was educated and became a native of Russia.
Even though he is a native Russian, he is fluent in English and Ukrainian. He was admitted to the local school in Kryvyy Rih (Institute of Economics) in 1995 and graduated with a degree in Law in 2000.
While in college, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was an active participant in the theater arts, which he was determined to pursue even after obtaining his license to practice law. He discovered his talent for acting and comedy, which became his main focus. He participated in a comedy competition, ‘Club of Humorous and Creative People’ in 1997, which took place in his neighborhood.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his friend Kvartal were active members of the popular television show (KVN), appearing on every show that was broadcast. In 2003, he founded a production company in cooperation with Kvartal 95, which is now considered the largest film studio in Ukraine. He was in charge of directing at the entertainment film studio, then became a general producer of the Ukrainian TV channel in 2011.
Career
In 1997, Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in a local comedy contest and was invited to perform with the group that participated in the KVN finals in Ukraine, and won the show.

During that time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy led the Kvartal 95 team, which entered the Main League, becoming the top league in KVN. The team signed a contract to produce television programs for the Ukrainian TV channel.
