Not only did Taylor Swift thank her “Fortnight” collaborators, boyfriend Travis Kelce (who “brought happiness, joy, and magic”), and the crew of “The Eras Tour,” she also used her voice to give a very important thank you at the 2024 MTV VMAs during her Video of the Year acceptance speech.

On stage, Swift, along with Post Malone and her song producers, pleaded, “If you’re over 18, register to vote for something else important — the Presidential election.”

This isn’t the first time Swift has spoken out about the November 5 election.

On September 10, Swift made her support clear by announcing her support for Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential race after watching the recent debate.

“If you haven’t already, now is a great time to research current issues and where these candidates stand on the topics that matter most to you. As a voter, I’ll make sure to watch and read everything I can about the policies and plans they propose for this country.”

Swift’s statement puts to rest any lingering questions and doubts about her political stance as the November election approaches.

“I recently learned that ‘my’ AI has been falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign posted on his website.”

“It really brought up my fears about AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” the 34-year-old singer said. “It made me come to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to fight misinformation is with the truth. I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election.”
