Early life and education

They formed a band called Feaver, with Zack Mendenhall on bass, and they even had a chance to play on the 2011 Warped Tour. However, after Mendenhall left the band, they adopted The Narwhals as their new moniker, and then settled on Wallows in 2017.

As teenagers, Braeden Lemasters (guitar/vocals), Cole Preston (guitar/drums), and Dylan Minnette (guitar/vocals) formed Join the Band with Zack Mendenhall (bass). They were GigMasterz students at Keyboard Galleria Music Center in Southern California.

They changed their name to Feaver and participated in the Warped Tour in 2011. After Mendenhall left the band, they also used the name The Narwhals until they decided to change their name to Wallows in 2017.
