early life
Walter Anga was born on January 12, 1978, in the famous city of Port Harcourt in the Rivers State in southern Nigeria as Walta Angapukotanka Kolada.
He is the third of five children, born to Stephen Angapkotanka (father) and Evelyn Angapkotanka (mother).
He spent his entire childhood with his family in Ogu Bolo Local Government, located in the riverine area of Rivers State in southern Nigeria.

Walter Anga obtained the West African Senior School Certificate and the Rivers State Junior Secondary School Certificate.
He then matriculated at the prestigious University of Port Harcourt in 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts in 2002.
Profession
Walter Anga didn’t start showing his acting skills until he graduated from college. He then played a supporting role in the Nigerian film “La Bista” which starred Ernest Asuzu, Emma Ehumadu and Jerry Amilo. He then took a break for two years before getting another role.
At that time, he moved to Enugu State in search of roles but due to some unexplained circumstances, he found it impossible to get roles.
He became frustrated and almost gave up on acting and eventually tried other ventures, but eventually, his elder brother, the late lawyer Ismail Anga, and his mother believed in his talent and encouraged him to return to Port Harcourt and start over, which he agreed to do.
In 2003, Walter Anga returned to the city of Port Harcourt where he met superstar actor Nonso Diobi and veteran film director Ifeanyi Ogbonna.
He starred in the film “New Jerusalem” directed by renowned director Ifeanyi Ogbonna and produced by Kingsley Ukagbu. The film was a huge success and brought him to greater heights.
