Walter Anga was born on January 12, 1978, in Port Harcourt, a famous city in Rivers State in southern Nigeria as Walta Angapukotanka Kolada.

He is the third of five children, born to Stephen Angapkotanka (father) and Evelyn Angapkotanka (mother).

He spent his entire childhood with his family in Ogu Bolo Local Government, located in the riverine area of ​​Rivers State in southern Nigeria.

Walter Anga obtained the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate and the Rivers State Junior Secondary School Certificate.

He then matriculated at the prestigious University of Port Harcourt in 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts in 2002.

Walter Anga didn’t start showing his acting skills until he graduated from college. He then played a supporting role in the Nigerian film “La Bista” which starred Ernest Asuzu, Emma Ehumadu and Jerry Amilo. He then took a break for two years before getting another role.

At that time, he moved to Enugu State in search of roles but due to some unexplained circumstances, he found it impossible to get roles.
