Watch: Britney Spears busts out dance moves in Barely There bikini amid spiritual awakening: ‘I’m going through something’

Britney Spears recently shared a video of herself on Instagram, dancing in her latest nude-colored string bikini before posting some personal thoughts with her 41.9 million followers.

Spears, who turns 42 on December 2, also opened up about her spiritual journey in a lengthy caption she shared alongside the video. She twirled around the house, her long blonde hair flying as she danced.

In the video, she explains the tattoos on her pelvis and under her breasts and shows them off for everyone to see. She wrote in her caption, “I edited it backwards!!! Hebrew is read from right to left…”

She also explained the meaning of her tattoos, which include the phrase “Mem Hey Shin,” which means “healing, strength and good health” from the 72 names of God.

In her statement, Spears said that during this “chapter” of her life, she believes she is “going through something spiritual”.

She also recalled a time when she was very religious and studied with famous rabbis, participating in what she called “the light” like having a relationship with God.

The singer, who was born into a Southern Baptist family and sang in her church choir as a child, has gone through many changes in her faith over the years.

She announced her conversion to Catholicism in August 2021.

However, a year later, she publicly announced that she no longer believed in God due to the way her family treated her.

Despite the provocative nature of the recent video, Spears turned off comments on the post to avoid criticism. She mentioned in previous messages that she wanted to share more about her struggles but was worried that sharing too much might offend others.

In a previous post, she suggested that things were far from pristine when she said: “I portray that everything is absolutely perfect but trust me I’ve been through that too.”

Spears has weathered the ups and downs of being a celebrity but also faced her life-changing experience after being released from her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.

Through her memoir “The Woman In Me” (2023), she detailed her psychological trauma and family life.
