The 31-year-old singer-songwriter recently visited “The TERRELL Show” to promote her self-titled album, “TORI.” But during the interview, host Terrell Grice asked Kelly to show off her vocal skills by singing an impromptu rendition of Carey’s “Lead the Way.”

To the YouTuber’s surprise, Kelly easily delivered the vocals needed to complete the song, which was originally written for Carey’s “Butterfly” album but was eventually released as part of the soundtrack for the singer’s 2001 Hollywood film “Glitter,” according to The Mariah Network.
A fan captured the moment Kelly successfully sang the riff during the interview and shared clip on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption: “TORI KELLY DID MARIAH CAREY’S LEAD THE WAY RIFF WITH EASE [crying emojis] oh god, watch a biopic or a tribute to Mariah or babysit her; i don’t know what to do [crying emoji]”

The clip quickly gained traction on the platform, racking up more than 1.3 million views as of this writing. Many social media users praised the “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing” singer’s vocals, while her fellow Lambilys praised her for always showing support for Mariah.
