What happened to MW3 ranked matches?

In Modern Warfare 3, there is a multiplayer mode called Ranked Game. It is a competitive mode where teams of four players compete online using the same rules and maps as the Call of Duty League. When leagues update their rules, ranked mode in CoD MW3 will also update.

This mode is developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. It is an improved version of the ranked mode of Modern Warfare 2 (2022). It uses updated maps, weapons and equipment content from Modern Warfare 3.

Ranked Match is a competitive multiplayer game mode with a variety of features. It follows the rules and restrictions approved by the Call of Duty League. Players can track their performance with visible skill ratings and earn rewards for different skill categories and levels. Top players can even reach the top 250 in leaderboards and divisions to prove they are the best.

However, not everyone can enjoy ranked play right away. Players need to reach level 55 first. They will then be placed into one of eight skill categories based on their skill rating. Unlocking ranked play requires effort, but it provides a challenging and rewarding experience for skilled players.

  • The third mode is CDL control. Each team has 30 lives and each round is limited to 1.5 minutes. The first team to win three rounds wins the game. Like other modes, friendly fire is enabled. Maps supported in this mode include Highrise, Invasion and Karachi.
