Where is Nightingale’s heart in Alan Wake 2?
In the game Alan Wake 2, you can find Nightingale’s Heart in the third chapter, “Heart.” It’s hidden in the backroom refrigerator at the Cauldron Lake Grocery Store. When you enter the store, the cultists will attack you, but once you defeat them, you gain access to the room they guard. Inside, you’ll find Nightingale’s Heart in a cooler.
To open the shotgun cabinet, you need a code. But remember, unless you do some detective work on Nightingale’s Saga Heartland, the heart won’t be there. Therefore, before looking for a heart, make sure you have completed the necessary analysis.

Alan Wake 2: The Return 2
In Alan Wake 2’s “Return 2: Heart” chapter, things take a strange turn. When a body in the morgue suddenly comes to life, Alex Casey and Saga Anderson find themselves in a creepy situation that suggests they’re in the middle of a horror story.
When players return to Cauldron Lake, they will encounter some combat and have the opportunity to find new weapons and charms. First, take the shortcut back to the crime scene in the previous chapter, where you can learn more about Saga’s family. Follow the strange footprints left by Florence Nightingale and be prepared to be frightened by the water. You also need to do some analytical work.
When you reach the witch’s hut, find a fuse to light up the place and unlock an achievement. After profiling Nightingale, you’ll discover that his heart is in the old grocery store. Inside the store you’ll face some challenges, but there are also rewards such as shotguns.
Eventually, you’ll battle it out with Nightingale and explore the area further to find various charms and collectibles. The chapter ends when you return to Bright Falls after an encounter with Alan Wake himself.

Alan Wake 2
Alan Wake II is a survival horror video game produced by Remedy Entertainment and published by Epic Games Publishing. This is the sequel to the first Alan Wake game. In this game, you play as the famous author Alan Wake, who has been trapped in another world for 13 years. To escape, he concocts a horror story with FBI agent Saga Anderson. You can play the game on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, and it releases on October 27, 2023.
Alan Wake 2 gameplay
Alan Wake II is different than the first Alan Wake game. This is a survival horror game. You can play as Alan Wake or Saga Anderson in two separate stories, and you can decide which one you play first. Allen’s story starts the game and Saga’s story ends. Both of them explore places and fight enemies using flashlights and guns.
The flashlight can weaken enemies, but needs to be used with caution as it drains power. You also have to be careful with your batteries and ammo to survive. When enemies get too close, you can have Eren and Saga dodge to avoid them.
There’s also a detective component: when playing as Saga, you can pause the game and travel to a safe space called the “Heartland” to solve puzzles and learn more about the character. Similar to the first game, there are manuscript pages that provide hints about the story. In this game, you can also use a dialogue tree system to make choices within the story.
