His father Michael was born on May 24, 1936 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked at Morton Salt until 1970, where he was injured on the job. He was also an active member of the Sportsmen’s Club, Legion and VFW.

As for his mother, Grace was born on August 12, 1938. She was the primary caregiver for her husband after his tragic accident at Mortan’s Salt.

In addition, Duane also has siblings named Romaine Sexton (married to Harold), Lorraine Jayne married to Michael), Lisa Donk (married to William) and George Marusarz.

Duane Marusarz has worked as City Services Director in North Kansas City for over eight years. It is known that his annual salary is 69,053 USD.

He then joined KSHB / KMCI / The EW Scripps Company the following year and News 12 Long Island in December 2009.
