Who were Elsie Fisher’s parents?
Elsie Fisher was born to her parents, Nicole and Christopher Fisher. They are the reason why she shines as brightly as she does today. In fact, it was her father who introduced her to acting.
As a child, Elsie loved entertaining people. During a visit to a club, she went on stage and started acting. Then one of the impressed guests suggested to Christopher: “Hey, I have a friend who is a dealer. Have you ever thought about letting her try being an actress?” Christopher heeded those words and from there, Elsie’s acting career began.
Two years later, when Elsie turned six years old, she had her first role in the series Medium. She then became famous for voicing Agnes in two Despicable Me films.
Throughout her career, Elsie always received support from her parents. Even when she went through a challenging time as an 8th grader, they still chose to homeschool her and let her move at her own pace.
No wonder, Elsie’s parents were overjoyed when she was nominated for a Golden Globe at the age of 15. The actress recalled that she watched the livestream of the nominations alone at 5 a.m. and as soon as it was announced, she could hear her father scream. the other room, “Yes!”
Christopher also bought donuts to celebrate his daughter’s achievements. Elsie also celebrated the milestone in her own little way by shopping for video games and records, and treating herself to a well-deserved nap.
What is surprising is that even though her parents are the most important people in her life, she rarely shares their pictures on social networks.
Meet Nicole Fisher, Elsie Fisher’s Mother
Elsie Fisher’s loving mother’s name is Nicole Fisher. She is the actress’s “cool meemaw” who always takes care of her even when she swears “I don’t need it.”
Nicole was born in September 1982 to parents James Stanley Rasmussen and Anita Belle Hayler. She comes from a family of five including siblings Jennifer Crownover and Rachel Rasmussen.
Sadly, her mother, Anita, passed away on April 24, 2010, at the age of 66. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and spent 19 years as an elementary school teacher in Moreno Valley, CA .
Before marrying Nicole’s father, she was married to Derry Benedict. She only met James when she worked for the Social Security Administration (before becoming an elementary school teacher).

Meet Christopher Fisher, Father Elsie Fisher
Elsie Fisher’s supportive father, who shouted from the other room when she received her first Golden Globe Award nomination, is named Christopher Fisher.
“It is coincidence. Found a lost father today, I think I’ll take him in! she once introduced him on her IG.
Christopher was born in June 1973 to parents Scott Fjeldstad Fisher and Farah Fisher. Like his wife, he comes from a family of five including siblings William and Allen Fisher.
Sadly, Scott passed away on July 19, 2017 from pancreatic cancer. He graduated from San Pedro High School and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music from Pacific Lutheran University.
Scott spent more than two decades teaching – first in music, then in elementary classrooms. He then worked at universities (CSULA, CSUDH, UCLA, UCI) writing grants and managing research, often related to medicine. Then, in early 2000, he finally realized his dream of owning a restaurant, Bread Basket in Idyllwild.
His passion was also passed on to his son. Christopher is currently working at Cafe Aroma.
Thanks to her shift job at a local jazz cafe, Elsie had the opportunity to step on stage, starting her acting career.
After her performance, “The whole restaurant — jaws dropped,” Christopher recalls.
Six months later, he sent his daughter’s portrait to Kazarian, Measures, Ruskin and Associates, a small but legitimate talent agency that represented Joey Lawrence and Ian Ziering. The company signed her on as a client and within a month she was doing a national commercial for Toys R Us.
