Who are the Chiara Hovland siblings?

Model Chiara Hovland is the daughter of Tim and Pamela Hovland. Pamela and Tim married in 1988 and have been together ever since.

Their father was a high school star in California and became one of the best players in the world in both indoor and beach volleyball, USA Volleyball reports.

After a junior volleyball career on both hard and sand courts, Tim enrolled at the University of Southern California, where he had a stellar four-year career. He was a three-time All-American from 1979 to 1981. He led the Trojans to three consecutive NCAA finals and was named all-tournament team each year. USC won the NCAA championship in 1980 and was runner-up in 1979 and 1981. He was inducted into the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.

While at USC, Tim became a force on the national stage. He was selected to the USA Volleyball All-American team six times from 1979 to 1984, including MVP in 1983, while leading Nautilus Pacific to four USA Volleyball Open National Championships titles during that time.

Tim combined his time playing soccer at USC with playing for the U.S. Men’s National Team. He helped the U.S. win the Canada Cup by defeating Cuba in 1981 and was named MVP. Tim led Team USA to a silver medal at the 1981 NORCECA Championship. He spent eight years playing in Italy’s Serie A1 professional league. Tim led Kappa Turin to a league championship and MVP in 1984, becoming one of only two Americans to accomplish this double.

Tim’s volleyball jersey number was retired in 2010.

Their mother, Pamela, on the other hand, is the owner of Mrs. Hovies Toffee, a fresh, handcrafted British toffee.
