• In the summer, before the family moved to Moore, Keith visited his grandmother in Fort Smith, where his interest in music was sparked at Billie Garner’s Supper Club, which his grandmother owned. He began interacting with musicians and began playing on the bandstand, receiving his first guitar at the age of eight.
• After settling in Moore, Keith attended Highland West Junior High School and Moore High School, where he played defensive end on the football team.
• After graduating from Moore High School, Keith ventured into the oil field, starting as a derrick worker and working his way up to a supervisor. At the same time, he pursued his musical passion and formed the Easy Money Band with friends at the age of 20.
