Daniel Frogson On The Last Bus

Netflix’s The Last Bus premiered on April 1, 2022, and follows a group of students who survive an apocalypse when robots designed to clean up the environment begin to kill off humans.

Daniel’s character “Tom” is one of the survivors who finds his way into a rickety old school bus where the rest of the students are trapped. So, banding together, the group of students (who also happen to be extremely intelligent) then formulate a plan — to fight back, while also understanding the reason behind the robot’s intervention.

The group of students initially go on a field trip to see the unveiling of the “magic sphere” — another type of robot created by tech billionaire Dalton Monkhouse (Robert Sheehan) to clean up the environment. But as soon as the robots are activated, they vaporize everyone in the auditorium, except for the lucky students who make it back to the school bus.

Furthermore, it seems that similar events are happening all over the world.

So the kids set out in an old school bus to find Dalton Monkhouse, hoping that he might have some answers.

Dalton created the “Genie Orbs” (robots) which are millions of autonomous drones powered by artificial intelligence that are capable of replicating matter at the molecular level. Additionally, the robots are given the ability to learn, evolve, and act in the best possible way to repair the entire ecosystem.

Joining Daniel this season are his co-stars — Tom Basde, Robert Sheehan, Curtis Kantsa, Lauryn Ajufo, Lara McDonnell, Carys John, Nathanael Saleh, Moosa Mostafa, Marlie Morrelle and Phoebe De Silva.

Daniel Frogson’s career

Daniel Frogson began his acting career in 2018, playing “Joe” in the short-lived television series Joe All Alone. The show, an adaptation of Joanna Nadin’s best-selling novel, follows a 13-year-old boy (Joe) who is left behind by his mother and her unlovable boyfriend when they go away for a week.

That same year, Daniel went on to star in Andrew Hulme’s drama The Devil Outside, playing “Marcus”, a Protestant teenager who begins to question his faith when caught between his mother’s influence and a rebellious new friend at school.

The following year, Daniel entered the international spotlight with his quirky role as “Tony Costa” in the second season of His Dark Materials. His character, Tony, was a Gyptian who traveled to the North with other Western Gyptians to rescue children captured by the Gobblers.

Also, just before the mission, Tony goes to rescue Lyra Belacqua (Dakota Blue Richards, the main character) when she is attacked by Turkish traders. Tony’s demon, Lyuba, then settles down as a hawk, and he is given a ring by his mother and welcomed into adulthood.

Speaking of Daniel’s training/education, he attended the Nottingham Broadcasting Conference.

Prior to 2022, Daniel was represented by Markham, Froggatt & Irwin, a London-based talent management firm.
