Steve Ford is a married man. He married his girlfriend of three years, Andrea Cargill, on December 5, 2021 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort outside Pittsburgh, PEOPLE reported. The location was chosen because they both love nature.

The paper also reported that the ceremony was inspired by “winter forests.” “I [so excited] to marry Andrea,” Steve revealed to PEOPLE. They got married in an outdoor ceremony. It was a mostly private wedding with just a handful of friends and family. The newlyweds said their “I Dos” while a natural waterfall was in the background, making the ceremony look as picturesque as it is out of a movie.

“I’m looking forward to starting a family and moving forward together as a couple,” he added. They started out as friends. Steve and Andrea only started dating three years ago. The married couple share a passion for adventure and the outdoors. They got engaged on November 11, 2021.

Steve surprised his then-girlfriend, Andrea, by proposing in their garden with his grandmother’s ring, a family heirloom. But the couple didn’t publicly announce their engagement. He told PEOPLE, “When you know, you know. We’ve been together for three years, and we thought it was time to make it official, why wait any longer?”

The reception was held at Helen’s, a popular restaurant located inside a rustic-chic 1930s cabin.

“The space is decorated with moody candlelight, lush greenery, dark wood details and a roaring fireplace,” PEOPLE reports. “To make things a little more personal, Steve covered the restaurant’s logo with a sign that reads “The Fords’ Love Shack,” since the B-52s’ “Love Shack” is Ford’s favorite song. He also brought in a large disco ball — one of Ford’s signature design moves — to hang in the restaurant while guests danced the night away.”

Even though their wedding planning was unconventional, they still followed some traditions. Andrea loves classic wedding traditions and followed many of them for their big day. For example, her father married her off to someone else, and they married a minister who was also a close friend of the Ford family. Likewise, they had a first toast, cake cutting, and bouquet tossing.

“I also do ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, and something green for luck,’” Andrea explains.

And the wedding day was also Steve’s birthday. Steve said that he would never forget his anniversary now and that was wonderful for him. Andrea, the blushing bride said that Steve was the love of her life and she couldn’t wait to get married, have a family and spend the rest of their lives together.

She added that Steve makes her happy and they bring out the best in each other, we can say they are a perfect match.
