Meet Angus Ion, Arlene Phillips Partners
Angus Ion first met Arlene Phillips on the set of Freddie Mercury’s ‘I Was Born To Love You’ music video in 1985, and they hit it off instantly. He was the former Strictly Come Dancing judge’s second real crush.
The first was her ex-husband, Dan Noble, whom she married in 1971 — she was 28 and he was 21. They enjoyed seven years together before drifting apart.
The last time we saw Dan, he was teaching at a university in Philadelphia.
By the 1970s, Arlene was so wild that she would often flirt with strangers on the street. “I spent most of my time on the King’s Road, being picked up by any fancy car that came by,” she shared.
As of 2021, Angus and Arlene have been together for over 3 decades. But the two are still not married. However, a report from Dailymail (dated December 2008) mentioned that Angus was Arlene’s second husband.
