Renowned meteorologist Brandon Roux has said goodbye to his long-time career at Detroit’s WDIV television station. After 13 years with Local 4 News, Brandon took to social media to share the news of his unexpected departure from the 4Warn Weather Team. In addition to his meteorology career, Brandon is also the husband of his lovely wife Antonietta Pennella.

Meet Antonietta Pennella, Weather Forecaster Brandon Roux’s Wife

Announcing his sudden departure from WDIV, meteorologist Brandon Roux wrote, “Do you like music? Tune in to Local 4 News to hear my… Swan Song. My last broadcast at WDIV will begin Sunday morning. These are the words we use to say goodbye,” on Facebook on July 2, 2023.

On his final day at WDIV, Local 4 News paid tribute to the renowned meteorologist. “Brandon Roux was an integral part of the 4Warn Weather Team, working hard to ensure Metro Detroit viewers were informed and prepared for what was ahead. Local 4 wishes Brandon Roux the best in his next opportunity,” ClickOnDetroit wrote.

The 2009 Associated Press Award winner for Outstanding Weather Reporting has yet to announce his future plans for his career. However, given his illustrious past, he is sure to move on to bigger projects.

Speaking of Brandon’s meteorology career, he was a Radio Meteorologist at WBNS in Columbus, Ohio before starting at WDIV in 2010. Additionally, Brandon has also reported for WFTC in Minneapolis, Minn., KTNV in Las Vegas, Nev., and KIVI in Boise, Idaho.

Workaholic Brandon has been married to his wife, Antonietta Pennella, for over 25 years. On May 16, 2015, Brandon took to Facebook to share several photos of himself, Antonietta, and their children to celebrate his and his wife’s 17th wedding anniversary.

On Mother’s Day 2016, Antonietta was one of the women Brandon thanked along with his mother. “Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing women in my life. So lucky to have Gloria Roux, Allison Roux Collins, Kendra Roux and my partner Antonietta Pennella Roux! Love you all!!!,” he shared on Facebook.

Brandon Roux and Antonietta Pennella are the parents of two children, Christian and Gianna Roux.

Christian turns 19 in 2022. Brandon writes, “The big man, Christian Roux, turns 13! Started the day by donating… to Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. Then it was a lot of receiving and the joy of sharing a birthday party with Gloria Roux, baby of the year!”, on Christian’s 13th birthday.
