Brit Prawat’s husband
Brit Prawat and her husband Justin Daniel Prawat are both podcast hosts. While Brit hosts Crime Junkie, Erik is best known as the co-host of the comedy podcast Don’t Blow Your Pod.
The two began their romance in May 2005 and married 12 years later on July 25, 2009.
According to Brit, her husband first proposed to her over the car radio playing All-American Rejects. She describes him as “her biggest supporter, the best father to her kids, and somehow still the funny one in (their) relationship.”

Brit Prawat was adopted as an infant. As such, she never had any information about her biological parents, nor did she ever care to find out about them. She said that trying to find out about them would be a “huge betrayal” to her adoptive parents.
Speaking of her adoptive parents, they struggled with infertility for over a decade. And after she was adopted and just under a year old, they got pregnant with her sister Courtney, and then two and a half years later, they got pregnant with her brother Zachary.
Looking back on her childhood, Brit said she had an incredibly positive experience as a child and always felt loved, supported and chosen. This is also why she decided to adopt her two children.
