Chef Katie Button has worked in some of the world’s finest kitchens and is the CEO and Executive Chef of Katie Button Restaurants, including La Bodega by Curate and Curate Bar de Tapas. Katie also runs a culinary travel company, Curate Trips, and an online Spanish food marketplace, Curate at Home.
Katie met her current husband, Felix Meane, in 2010. After a year of dating, Katie and Felix got married on December 27, 2011. Their marriage is stronger than ever now as they just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in February 2021. Ahead of the anniversary, Katie uploaded an old photo of them dug up from the archives and wrote a long, sweet caption.

In Andorra, Felix worked his way up from bartender to restaurant manager at Vallnord Ski Resort. He was then invited to join Ferran Adria’s team at El Bulli as roastery chef, which he accepted. His job there was to help set up the day-to-day operations of the restaurant’s front office and press office.
Felix eventually moved to American to serve as the director of service at SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. He also served as director of service for Think Food Group, where he worked to develop FOH service for Minibar in Washington DC, Bazaar by Jose Andres SLS Hotel in Miami, China Pablano at Cosmopolitan Hostel, Mi Casa in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico, to name a few.
After meeting his wife Katie Button in 2010, the couple founded Heirloom Hospitality Group together and opened Spanish-style tapas bar, Curate, in Asheville, North Carolina.
Felix is also the co-founder and chief experience officer of Katie Button Restaurants.
