Game of Thrones Actor Jack Gleeson has exchanged vows with his bride Róisín O’Mahony in a very simple wedding. Parish priest Fr Patsy Lynch revealed that the actor and his comedian girlfriend tied the knot at Sacred Heart Church in The Glen, Ballinskelligs, County Kerry, Ireland.

“A very simple, solemn and prayerful wedding for movie star Jason [Jack] “Gleeson and Roisin: Glen Church,” Father Lynch wrote alongside photos of the ceremony featuring him and the happy couple.

In one photo, the group is seen standing side by side inside a church as O’Mahony holds a bouquet of flowers and wears a long, pastel-patterned dress. Similarly, in another photo, the bride and groom are seen hugging and grinning at the camera while a small group of people can be seen sitting in the church pews in the background.

In an interview with Irish IndependentFather Lynch revealed that the wedding ceremony on Saturday was “a pre-wedding ceremony”.

“The ceremony will actually take place in England, but the family have holidayed at Ballinskelligs, The Glen, for many years and have many happy memories here,” he told the outlet. “We had a lovely, prayerful, solemn wedding ceremony. Jack texted me this morning to say it was a beautiful and moving ceremony, and then they went out for dinner.”

Noting that “there was a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere from the start,” Father Lynch explained, “I think it was the sheer simplicity that touched people’s hearts, and everyone was happy and content.”

“Everyone here knows Jack and it just shows that they are part of the whole community,” he added. “When I met him, it was like we had known each other our whole lives, that was the kind of person he was. There was nothing fake about it.”

“We grew up on Smack The Pony, Absolutely Fabulous, 90s comedy. I grew up in Italy influenced by a lot of character comedians. We love being on stage together, we have a similar sense of humor, Roisin is more surreal in the way he writes and comes up with ideas, I’m more character-driven, we combine that,” Chiara shared with Bedford Gatekeeper.

“We like to take a character, like posh girls, we really like Made In Chelsea and all that stuff and add a bit of the surreal to it. We really like Noel Fielding, The Mighty Boosh, The League of Gentleman, all those shows that are character comedies with a bit of the surreal and really exaggerated with a bit of the grotesque, like character comedies but surreal, I guess that’s where our inspiration comes from,” she added.
