Jan Cilliers and Christy Giles were married on August 29, 2019. When recalling their wedding, Jan shared that the wedding took place on a Wednesday night at Deep Playa underneath the artwork called “Broken but Together”.

Unfortunately, the two were only able to celebrate their second wedding anniversary, as Christy tragically passed away in November 2021. It was reported that the bodies of Christy and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola were dumped at two different hospitals by masked men after a night out.

A video obtained by DailyMail.com shows Christy partying with Hilda just hours before she was found dead. The pair then left the party and went to an apartment in West LA with some of the men they met that night.

Traces of heroin were also found in the girl’s body, leading Christ’s mother to believe that her daughter had been sexually assaulted before being killed.

Likewise, Jan (who was visiting his father in San Francisco when the incident occurred) maintained that his wife never voluntarily took the drug and suspected foul play.

After his passing, Jan shared several IG posts about his wife. One of them read, “The moments we shared will be forever etched in my mind. But it’s not enough. I want more memories with you. I would do anything to make more memories with you. My heart is broken.”

As of November 2021, the true cause of Christy’s death remains unknown. Meanwhile, her friend Hilda is fighting for her life in a coma.
