Karen Taylor is the wife of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch star Travis Taylor. Taylor’s parents scoffed at the fact that he was conceived while his father, Charles, was working inside the Saturn V rocket, in addition to the fact that he was born almost exactly a year before Neil Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the moon.

Taylor spoke to Army.mil in 2011 and described his father’s work, saying, “My dad was 22 when he started working as a mechanic for Wernher von Braun. He actually built parts on the Saturn V rocket that went to the moon. My dad was a mechanic who built the oldest satellite launched by the United States that is still in orbit today.”

Aerospace engineer and optical scientist Travis has used his expertise in everything from reality TV to space exploration. The scientist has worked on projects involving advanced propulsion concepts, space telescopes, and next-generation spacecraft launch concepts for over 16 years while working for the U.S. Department of Defense and NASA.
