Simon Bird is currently married to his long-term girlfriend Lisa Owens. Simon is said to have proposed to Lisa during a romantic trip to Paris before they tied the knot in 2012.
The Sun Before reported that the actor got down on one knee to propose to Lisa, who responded with a tearful “yes.” A source told the outlet: “Simon took Lisa to Paris without mentioning his plans to propose, but he had it all worked out. He bought a ring – following tradition – and spent a month’s salary on the bling.”
“They went out to dinner and he asked her to marry him. Lisa said yes immediately. They are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together,” the source added.
The pair are said to have met at Cambridge University while they were performing a play – written by his good friend and Inbetweeners co-star Joe Thomas, who plays Simon Cooper – about an arguing couple.

It took me another eighteen months, writing full-time, to finish the novel.” The book went on sale in February 2015, and in December, Lisa’s first child was born. “I’m looking to get back into writing now.”
