Jennifer Standridge first gained international attention in 2022 after her partner, Maddy Morphosis, broke RuPaul’s Drag Race tradition by becoming the first straight man to compete on the show.

Responding to the controversy, Maddy shared that the concepts of “masculinity” and “femininity” are “arbitrary and made up.” And to anyone who suggests she represents an “underrepresented group,” she said, “I appreciate it, but straight men are not the group that is mistreated and excluded in the drag community.”
