June 1, 2022, Happy to be home with the Benkos family‘Gray Benko and her husband Mike Benko celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary. “I love this pic because it’s as awkwardly chaotic as we are,” Gray posted on her IG @graybenko, a photo of them with this caption and more. Gray shared that despite the tough times together, they held each other’s hands and pushed through. As a result, she said their relationship is stronger today, not despite but because of all the struggles, tears, and determination. “Happy 14th wedding anniversary to my one and only. I love you to the moon and back @benkoman! I’m so proud of your true spirit and I’m so lucky to call you mine ❤️,” she later wrote in the caption.
Earlier, on May 31, 2021, when they also celebrated Gray’s birthday, it was Mike’s turn to say “The happiest birthday and 13th wedding anniversary to this amazing woman… my wife, I love you so much and I am the luckiest man :)”.
A year ago, in January 2020, when Mike developed a blood infection in his knee that spread to MRSA in his blood, he had surgery to clean out his knee and was put on a constant drip of Vancomycin to fight the MRSA infection. And even then, he still shouts out to his wife for never leaving his side and always helping him without remorse.
And since Mike also has diabetes, having a wife like her must have helped him maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
