Singer-songwriter Morgan Wade is the daughter of Jason Wade. Jason, her father, and Robin Fonville welcomed her into this world on December 10, 1994, making her 28 years old.

Morgan, a native of the sleepy Appalachian community of Floyd, Virginia, discovered music as a child. After going through a breakup during her freshman year at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke in 2013, she wrote songs in private, never attempting to perform them in public until she was 19.

Morgan formed a band using Craigslist and began performing in Virginia. She eventually got sober and in 2018, she led her backing band, the Stepbrothers, through the album Puppets with My Heart. Her song “The Night” debuted in 2019, followed by “Don’t Cry” in 2020, and her full-length debut album, Reckless, debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, and was released on Thirty Tigers in early 2021.

Morgan debuted in 2022 with the track “Run,” which was included on the deluxe extended version of Reckless. She released the Acoustic Sessions EP later that year. After closing out the year with the two-part track “The Night,” Wade began the cycle for her upcoming sophomore LP with the title track “Psychopath” from 2023.
