Richard Duncan, a tattoo artist from Black Ink Teamwas married to Nikki Duncan. During Black Ink Crew: New YorkThey exchanged vows in the summer of 2016.

The couple met when Richard was in Oakland, California. He was a guest at a tattoo parlor and she went there with her friends.

Nikki explained: “She was like a fan or something. She wanted to get a tattoo. And I had nothing better to do, so I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll go with everyone.’ I was out there, and he was getting a tattoo, and he was really shy, he didn’t really want to talk to me. He was a little bit arrogant, and at the time, I was like, ‘Why doesn’t he want to talk to me?’ But then we ended up going and we dated long-distance for a while, so I would come here to New York, and he would come to California. We did that for a while, and yeah, that’s how it worked out.”

After dating long-distance for two months, she would go to New York while Richard would go to San Francisco. “So we probably did it back and forth for three or four months,” she said.“

Since tying the knot, they have welcomed a daughter, Nova-Rae Rose, into the world, although she has said she has no immediate plans to start a family. The couple bought their first home in 2017.

The couple had previously had marital problems that led to their separation, but they decided to get back together after discovering they were having a baby girl. Richard has five children with three different women and currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

It is unclear whether they are still married. Nikki has not appeared on Richard’s Instagram since February 2021. The caption for the post read: “Souls bound.” Richard had previously thanked Nikki for helping him open a store. “I couldn’t have done this without you pushing me to follow my dreams and I love you so much.”

Nikki was reportedly married to Brandon Wiley (Idaho Vandals basketball player) and had a son together. She has two children from a previous relationship. In Black Ink Crew Ep. 14, a woman who claimed to know Nikki’s secret child came to the store. The woman claimed to be a friend of Brandon Wiley’s ex-husband and that she had babysat both of Nikki’s sons.

The woman also added that she attended the birth of her second child, but Nikki had a pattern. According to the woman, Nikki’s bad habit was that she tended to have children and then give up on motherhood.

Nikki began her career as the Family Resource Center Director at TRI Commercial in 2010. After two years, she became the resident services coordinator at Mercy Housing California from 2012 to 2015.

After leaving her job, she was hired as the Housing and Community Development Services Manager at the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development from 2015 to 2017. COMMUNITY ACTION FOR IMPROVEMENT, INC. also hired Nikki as the Director of Community Services (September 2017 – March 2019) and Snob Life Studios as Creative Strategist, Brand Management from 2018 to 2022.

Nikki attended California State University-Sacramento, majoring in Organizational Communication, Media, City/Urban, and Community and Regional Planning.
