However, Robert and his team have denied all allegations. He released a statement in which he revealed that he was completely shocked by some of the allegations that ESPN made about him, him personally, or about the Phoenix Suns and Mercury organizations.

Robert also denied all allegations, saying, “While I don’t know how to respond to some of the vague suggestions made by mostly anonymous people, I can certainly tell you that some of the allegations I see are completely contrary to my character and the character of the Suns/Mercury workplace and I can tell you that they never happened.”

Robert added that he rejects any suggestion of individual or institutional racism or sexism. He also confirmed that he despises language that disrespects any individual, regardless of race, gender, preference or choice. Furthermore, he made it clear that such language has no place in business or at home in what I consider the Suns and Mercury family.
