Meet Rob Winebrenner, Robin Swoboda’s Boyfriend

Rob Winebrenner and Robin Swoboda went public with their relationship on October 7, 2021.

In an interview with WKYC, Robin said when she first met Rob, she thought he was handsome and he flirted with her. Then he asked Robin out. She replied that she was chubby, had white hair, was over 60 and had cancer. And instead asked him if he wanted to go out with her?

After hearing all that, even though this might be objectionable to some others, he still agreed to go out with her.

The more Rob talked to her, the more he wanted to hear her story and what she was going through. Her story was as interesting as Robin herself.

On their third date, Rob may have saved Robin’s life. He took Robin to University Hospital after she had a dangerous reaction to her first round of chemotherapy. She was in the ICU for three days. Robin couldn’t stop praising him. “He’s seen me at my worst,” she shared. “I mean, he’s taken me to the ER, he knows my weight, he knows my sodium, he’s seen it all and he keeps coming back. It’s crazy.”

Robin laughed as she told WKYC that she wished she had someone in her life when she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. And by the looks of it, Rob and Robin are definitely inseparable. “I’ve been waiting for him my whole life,” Robin exclaimed.

Rob had two children with his first wife Laura Winebrenner, who also had ovarian cancer and died in 2009. He has a son named Justin and a daughter named Kelly Winebrenner. Kelly is married to her husband Tim Campbell.

Justin attended Wadsworth and Barberton schools and graduated from Barberton in 2001. He followed in his father’s footsteps to pursue a career in law enforcement, attending the University of Akron, then working at the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center, where he enjoyed working with youth in crisis.

He joined the Akron Police Department in 2007. However, Akron police officer Justin Robert Winebrenner was killed in an off-duty brawl at Papa Don’s in November 2014. He had a daughter named Charlee Ayn with the mother of his child, Tiffany, whom he proposed to in the Bahamas.
