Meet Diane Ladd Wife, Robert Charles Hunter
Robert Charles Hunter is Diane Ladd’s third husband. The couple married on February 14, 1999 and later lived together as a blended family, with children of their own.
Before Robert, the Chesapeake Shores star was married to William A. Shea, Jr. from April 1973 to 1976. And before him, Diane was married to actor Bruce Dern from 1960 to June 1969. Diane and Bruce had two children together—one of whom, Diane Elizabeth Dern (her first daughter, born November 27, 1960), tragically passed away at the age of 17.
Diane Elizabeth reportedly died 15 days after accidentally falling into her family’s swimming pool and hitting her head, causing a severe brain hemorrhage.
Diane and Bruce’s second daughter, Laura Dern, was born on February 10, 1967.
Laura is also an actress like her mother, who has starred in films such as Rambling Rose (1991), October Sky (1999), I Am Sam (2001), We Don’t Live Here Anymore (2004), Jurassic Park (1993) and Jurassic Park III (2001).

Regarding his education, Robert graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts from Artesia College in 1969. He then went on to pursue graduate studies at Penn State University in 1981 and also earned a Doctorate of Divinity from Logos Center.
