The host has now returned to the United States to continue her treatment. Furthermore, the reason behind her hospitalization has not been revealed.

“Unfortunately, I had to cut my vacation short and fly back to the United States to be hospitalized here. I am grateful to the Italian hospital and the doctors who helped me through those dark days, but I am glad that I was able to return to the United States as soon as possible to continue my treatment here,” Sarah said.

When KENS 5 anchor Sarah Forgany and her new husband, Jesse Castillo, said “I do” in January 2019, it seemed like a fairy tale come true. According to Sarah, it all started with a charming proposal. His planned proposal fell through due to her early morning work schedule, so he came up with a replacement.

“He surprised me at home. I was in my pajamas, half-asleep, when he knocked on the door. When I opened the door, he was wearing a nice suit, holding roses and a diamond ring,” Sarah recalled. “I went in and everyone at the store thought I had the wrong date because it was only a few weeks away. They told me they couldn’t put a dress in that early. I said don’t worry, I’ll see what you have on the rack,” Sarah revealed to the outlet. “I was in and out, in an hour with a dress.” All the adjustments were made by the showrunner’s mother, who made the dress absolutely stunning.

Just 24 guests attended the couple’s beach wedding in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Forgany’s dream location finally became a reality.

“I always wanted a beach wedding. Fort Lauderdale has great weather and a beautiful beach,” she said.

The newlyweds went to Iceland for a two-week honeymoon before flying to Uganda and Rwanda in East Africa. The couple spent several days touring around Iceland.

“We are big fans of Game of Thrones so we visited some of the filming locations. We went glacier hiking in Vatnajökull National Park, one of the largest glaciers in Europe, and went inside the naturally formed Blue Ice Cave. It was magical,” says Sarah.

The couple then flew to Uganda, where Forgany said they would pursue a lifelong goal of seeing the endangered mountain gorilla in the wild. Only three countries allow it. The newlyweds’ adventures continued.

“We hiked in the African bush in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for over five hours. We came face to face with a family of 11 gorillas, including a silverback,” Sarah added. “It was an amazing experience.” The couple ended their honeymoon in Rwanda.

On their third anniversary, Sarah wrote, “3 years ago today #I❤️U Beautiful photos by @mission_possible_sa.”

Sarah shared that she used her Valentine’s Day gift from her husband. She got to see her baby in 3D/4D. She added in the post, “For the first time since I was pregnant, I wasn’t alone! My husband was with me… able to see our baby with me. I was in tears when he gave me this gift.”

After being induced, she experienced significant discomfort immediately. “I found out that there was only one anesthesiologist present and that anesthesiologist was stuck in the operating room,” she added. “At that point, all I could do was squeeze my husband’s hand and pray to God to help me. Within two hours, I was ready to give birth and didn’t get the epidural until I was almost pushing the baby out.”

Sarah told the outlet that the pain was excruciating, but it was the most powerful and sacred thing she’d ever experienced. “I saw her and held her and it was all worth it. I cried and said to myself, ‘I can’t believe I waited all these years to have her.'”

The San Antonio TV host and her husband welcomed daughter Bella at 2:30 p.m., weighing in at 6.5 pounds and measuring 18.5 inches long.

Sarah also discussed the challenges of motherhood. “I think the most challenging part of being a new mother is that I never knew I had so many fears,” she said. “There was always something. Is she pooping enough? Is she breathing well? Is she moving well? Am I pumping enough? Why isn’t she eating enough?”

However, she had her husband Jesse to help her through this time. On National Daughters Day, Sarah wrote, “I never thought I would celebrate this day #nationaldaughtersday.. but here I am and still can’t believe I’m finally a mom. This little girl came into my world 5 months ago and turned everything upside down. My heart melts with every smile and overflows with love with every touch. Bella, you are the light of my life. I pray for many more wonderful years with you. #mama #momdaughter.”
