Simon Ekpa, a native of Nigeria from Ohaukwu Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, was born on 21 March 1985. Throughout his formative years, he enjoyed the nurturing and support of his parents, King Nwangbo and Lolo Nwangbo. After moving to Finland in 2007, his sports career did not flourish as expected. Instead, he decided to participate Finnish military reserves, demonstrating dedication and commitment to serving his country. After that, Simon Ekpa entered politics when he became a member of the Finnish National Union Party.
In the 2022 Finnish district elections, he bravely ran for office in the hope of positively impacting his community. Currently, he holds an influential position as a member and committee chairman of the transportation board at Lahden Kaupunki in Lahti City.
