Agent Jeremy Barber, who was spotted hugging actress Katie Holmes, was previously married to indie film producer Tonia Barber. It is unclear when they met and married.

However, Tonia filed for separation/divorce from Jeremy in 2015, according to UniCourt. The case was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, California.

In 2023, Jeremy was seen hugging the Dawson’s Creek actress in New York City. However, Katie’s rep confirmed to PageSix that they had not been seeing each other. The mother of one grinned as she wrapped her arm around Barber’s shoulders while he held a cup of iced coffee. She was dressed casually in a white T-shirt, gray pleated skirt, and Adidas sneakers.

After dating for eight months, she and boyfriend Bobby Wooten III split more than six months before their platonic date. “Katie and Bobby broke up last week,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly in December 2022, explaining that the two simply “could not work together long term”.

Jeremy, born in 1966, is 57 years old. He has worked for United Talent Agency for 19 years as a Partner and Agent. After disagreements with Catch 23 president Bob Sturm, Jeremy resigned from the company in November 2002. To turn Catch 23 into a production and management force, Sturm hired Jeremy in August 2000. Renee Zellweger, Steven Soderbergh, and Burr Steers were among the clients he brought into the company during his tenure, along with other managers.

He also co-financed One Hour Photo with Fox Searchlight, founded Catch 23 UK with British super agent Duncan Heath, and invested in films by Martin Campbell, Mike Newell, and Neil LaBute.

Prior to joining Catch23, Jeremy served as executive vice president of production and acquisitions at Artisan Entertainment, where he oversaw the creation of films such as Requiem for a Dream and the acquisition of blockbusters such as The Blair Witch Project, Buena Vista Social Club and Chuck & Buck. His clients at Loeb & Loeb, where he began his Hollywood career, included indie studios The Shooting Gallery and Lions Gate as well as filmmakers Darren Aronofsky (Requiem), Lasse Hallstrom, George Romero, actor Christian Bale and others.
