Who were the artist Hadleigh’s parents?

Artist Hadleigh appeared on HGTV’s My Lottery Dream Home special with the intention of spending the jackpot money to buy a house for her family. She is the daughter of Derek Painter and Pam Painter.

Every year on January 8, Hadleigh Painter celebrates his birthday. When the episode was filmed, she was 22 years old. When she was 21 years old, she won the lottery. Her scratch card promised her 25 thousand dollars for life. Instead, she decided to withdraw a lump sum of $390,000. She was looking for a dream house for her sister and mother to live in and she came to the program with a budget of $550,000.

Hadleigh graduated from Ardery Kell High School. She graduated from high school in 2017. While in high school, she played track and field. She competed in events such as the Pole Vault and 400 Meter Dash, and also ran the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles.

After graduating from high school, Hadleigh enrolled at Pitt Community College, where she studied for only one year. Beginning in 2018, she transferred to East Carolina University and graduated in 2021 with a 4.0 GPA in Religious Studies and Hispanic Studies with a minor in Communications.

Haleigh’s LinkedIn says she worked as a Consultant for My Farm Camps from 2013-2017. While working there for nearly four and a half years, she managed staff, campers, animals and supplies. She also worked as a waitress for El Vallarta Mexican Restaurant for three months in 2017.

In addition, she also worked as a hostess for Stilllife nightclub in August 2017.

Hadleigh has also done some volunteer work for organizations such as Elevation Church, Samaritan’s Feet International, Urban Ministry Center, AMEXICAN, Reign Leadership and several others. Since winning, Hadleigh has worked as a waitress at Cafe Monte. She is currently looking for new opportunities and also begins working at Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant in 2022.

Meet Derek the Painter, Hadleigh’s Father the Painter

Hadleigh Painter’s father’s name was Derek Painter. Born in July 1970, Derek turns 53 in 2023.

Derek is the son of the late Painter Larry Neal Sr and Painter Mary Ann Clegg. The son of Artist Dorothy Howard and Painter Aylmer, Larry was born at home in River Bend, North Carolina. His paternal grandparents, William and Emma Painter, cared for him during the first ten years of his childhood while he and his brother Ronnie lived on the family farm near Lucia, North Carolina.

After earning a degree from Mars Hill Junior College in 1956, Larry attended Mercer University in 1957 and 1958 on a baseball scholarship. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer in 1959, he was admitted to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, located on the Wake Forest University campus in Wake Forest, North Carolina, in 1960. In addition to receiving a scholarship, in which he declined, Larry would go on to receive a Bachelor of Divinity degree. In 1957, he was ordained a priest at Oakhurst Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Larry has two siblings named Larry Neal Painter Jr. of Charlotte and Charlotte Artist Terre McMurtrey.

Meet artist Pam, artist Hadleigh’s mother

Pamela Painter is Hadleigh Painter’s mother. She turns 52 in May 2023.

Hadleigh revealed it exclusively to GossipNext door“My mother has always been the most supportive person in my life, no matter what my goals are at the moment. Hence why I co-purchased the house for her so that it could finally be her forever home and I would eventually cash out the equity and buy my own house. It cannot be said enough about the importance of my mother’s role in my life, however, she enjoys her privacy. Also, I am very close to my mother’s side of the family.”
