Why doesn’t Heihachi appear in Tekken 8?
Heihachi Mishima is absent from Tekken 8 as his character has been confirmed dead in the game. Although he appeared to return from the dead in previous Tekken series, his final death occurred in Tekken 7 when he was thrown into a volcano.

Game producer Katsuhiro Harada clarified that Heihachi’s death is permanent in Tekken 8, citing series lore that says Heihachi lacks the resurrection abilities possessed by other characters like Jin or Kazuya. While Harada expressed surprise and even regret at killing Heihachi, his character has no plans to return in Tekken 8.

Who is Heihachi?
Heihachi Mishima is an important character in the “Tekken” series created by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Heihachi was originally the main villain in the first Tekken game in 1994, where he served as CEO of the Mishima Zaibatsu, a military company founded by his father, Mishima Jinpachi.

The Rage system returns with a revamp, featuring Heat Crush as a separate action. The game introduces a juggling combo expansion system, replacing the planned return of the “Screw” damage attribute. Tekken 8 aims to provide a cinematic combat experience with an emphasis on staged destruction and character reactions. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and features new character models and voices. Online modes include “Arcade Quest,” which offers customization and the use of “Fight Money” currency for various in-game features.
