Coachella has officially released its lineup for next year’s spring festival, announcing Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone as headliners.
The announcement brings other big surprises, including Megan thee Stallion, Charli XCX and Missy Elliott, as well as Travis Scott serving as the festival’s creative director.
However, social media hasn’t been quiet about their reactions to the surprising lineup. Many found the announcement disappointing, especially following the news that Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar turned down offers to promote themselves. Fans were especially surprised to see Yo Gabba Gabba! list, which includes “five friendly monsters” known to encourage preschool-aged children to sing and dance.
Others shared their excitement for certain acts, celebrating that for the first time in history, multiple K-pop solo artists were announced to perform at Coachella: Jennie and LISA.
Gaga fans are also celebrating what is expected to be a historic performance. Lady Gaga also shared her excitement for the set via can now be fully realized at Coachella for further reasons.” our control but I want to go beyond the music fans. I wanted to come back and do it right, and I did.”

Gaga made history as the first and only artist to debut this century to headline Coachella twice. The line-up hopes to make up for the disappointing loss of Frank Ocean, who ended his set early and canceled weekend two’s set following criticism of his “messy” weekend one set that.
