Witch Fire V0.1.3 Patch Notes

Patch 0.1.3.47576

emphasize

  • This patch focuses on the final domination of Scourge and Overwatch. Therefore: Community Astro colab
  • Warden now has a much lower chance of triggering a disaster
  • The Warden now moves slightly faster and may decide to abandon his search for you early
  • Destroying a trap does not increase the disaster roll requirement (it still exists, it just doesn’t increase now)
  • Disasters now grant sweet drops upon completion.use them wisely

Gameplay

  • Improved base Echo performance and increased maximum ammo capacity (36 to 48)
    • Long story short: does slightly more damage to projectiles and less damage to explosions, making it a better gun early on (can one-shot the venom casing with a well-placed headshot). This greatly improves its early-game ammo economy, making it viable in low-level content and more fun when leveling up.
  • Hunger base range reduced from 16 to 15m, ADS range reduced from 22.5 to 21m
    • Our first weakened, torn dreams apart. But the gun was too hot. We’ve lowered its effective range slightly to keep it relatively balanced while remaining beginner-friendly
  • Added low ammo notifications except for demonic weapons
    • Ammo economy is very important in the game, but it can easily stop counting in the heat of battle
  • Reduced the number of kills required to upgrade Echo and Hail
    • Echo and Hail should have lower upgrade kill requirements given their lower maximum ammunition reserves. Until now they have not done so.
  • Added “Stun Power” value to weapon inspection screen. A very important statistic!
  • Ammo boxes no longer spawn in two extremely difficult to reach locations
  • Mine proximity trigger delay increased by 0.1 seconds
    • Changes in explosion speed make it a little harder to get out of the mine’s range without taking damage
  • Removed almost all upgrade notifications such as “New Event Revealed”.
    • This is info spam that doesn’t really add anything, ruins the mystery and makes no sense (Witch reacts within 0.01 seconds of the upgrade)
  • Added a failsafe to the Scar Statue, which prevents lingering enemies from gaining a permanent invincibility shield
  • Disaster Catalyst should no longer spawn portals in village geometry
  • Barrels of Fire now correctly set enemies and players on fire
  • Significantly reduces the damage caused by the flame barrel to the player each time
  • Reduce damage to ticks from poisonous flowers
  • Enemies should now properly spawn in the castle gardens and grant the crystal at the end
  • Sentinels now block damage when closed

Technology/Graphics/Audio

  • Fixed an issue where multiple instances of the game were displaying incorrect mouse input icons
  • Adjusted crouch animation for all weapons
  • Dash Shouldn’t Kill You Anymore Community Pain Relief Initiative
  • Fixed an issue where player falling damage sounds would not play if the speed was low enough to take the fall damage but not low enough to trigger the most jarring animations
  • Smaller systemic AI optimization
  • Minor shader, texture and geometry fixes
