He then returned to pursue his law studies and was employed as a law lecturer at University of Lagos. This later became his main profession and he began teaching law at the age of 23.
In 1997, Yemi Osinbajo became Professor of Law and Dean of the Faculty of Public Law at the University of Lagos. He returned to the university in 2007 to resume his teaching career.
But Osinbajo’s career took a major turn when he became the vice-presidential candidate – Muhammadu Buhari, ahead of the 2015 elections. After forming All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2013, Osinbajo was tasked with other prominent Nigerians in the party to develop a manifesto for the new political party. This culminated in the presentation of the ‘Roadmap to a new Nigeria‘, a document released by the APC as its manifesto in the 2015 general elections.
