Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is in jail on multiple sexual harassment charges, was rumored on social media to have been discovered in his cell with a sock around his neck.
But these allegations have been proven false – due to a lack of solid evidence.
Speculation began when YouTuber Jamil Peterson uploaded a two-hour video titled “Breaking News: Diddy was found unconscious with a sock around his neck in his cell and was taken to the hospital” on January 2.
Except for that headline, no other authority has confirmed the video has attracted significant attention, accumulating more than 175,000 views as of this writing, and as such, many consider it a hoax. cheat.
The Express Tribune also noted that throughout the two-hour video, Peterson did not provide any evidence or credible sources to support his claims.
Although Peterson is clearly emotional in the video, the clickable thumbnail still includes unrelated images and shows a sign that says “Urgent.”
The thumbnail is made up of various images, including one image of a mysterious man being pushed down a hospital hallway and another image of a man lying in a hospital bed with members surrounded by family.
Similar images cannot be verified from any source and appear to have been manipulated.
Following a grand jury indictment on multiple felony counts, including racketeering conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking by force, multiple counts of forcible rape and human trafficking, Combs was arrested on September 16.
The media interest in his case makes it unlikely without more widespread coverage.
To make the speculation even murkier, the Daily Mail reported on December 27 that Combs had a “meltdown” in his cell over the holiday break. However, prison staff refused, and he then allegedly asked for a doctor to be called after Christmas.
Citizens should be wary of such unverifiable allegations, especially regarding sensitive issues that may involve personal security and well-being.
