The 36-year-old star required medical attention after falling to the pool floor while diving early Saturday morning, TMZ reported.

According to the news agency’s anonymous source, Efron misjudged the depth of the pool before diving in, causing his chest to hit the bottom. He also swallowed water into his lungs.
Efron was rescued by two mansion staff.
After the incident, the “Start of Something New” singer was momentarily disoriented and was immediately taken to a medical facility as a precaution.
After the fluid was removed from his lungs, as shown on a chest X-ray, doctors gave Efron the green light to leave the hospital. However, he reportedly decided to stay longer to avoid photographers lurking outside.

He was discharged from the hospital the next day.
The “High School Musical” actor is said to be in good health after a short hospital stay.
Efron’s rep previously told TMZ that the star was hospitalized for observation after a minor swimming incident but was released Saturday morning.
However, the representative did not reveal details about the incident that caused Efron – who has been spotted in several European locations including Ibiza, St. Tropez, Mykonos and Paris over the past month – to have an accident in the pool.
Efron later broke his silence about the accident by sharing a photo on Instagram with the caption: “Happy and healthy, thanks for the well wishes.”

Efron’s recent hospitalization comes years after a 2013 incident left him with a broken jaw. The injury occurred when he slipped while running around his house in socks, causing his chin to hit a solid granite fountain.
In a 2022 interview with Men’s Health magazine, the “A Family Affair” star recalled passing out and waking up to find his jawbone hanging off his face.
Efron described how the chewing muscles in his face and jaw grew significantly to compensate for the damage caused by the injury, ultimately leading to his noticeable physical transformation. Many social media users initially thought he had undergone plastic surgery.
He attributed the change in his appearance to his growing chewing muscles, saying, “They got really big, really big.”
“If I cared so much about what other people thought of me that they thought I did,” Efron told the magazine, “I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this job.”
