Zach Bryan appears to respond to Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards’ diss track with a new song

Zach Bryan recalls everything from his highly publicized breakup with his now-ex-girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, and the fallout from it.

The “Pink Skies” singer took to his Instagram Stories on November 7 to announce that he would be dropping a new song on November 8. titled “The World’s a Giant,” seemingly hinting at LaPaglia’s best friendhis podcast co-hosts commented on him calling him “The Littlest Man”.

“Be quiet, be quiet, this world is huge/That I don’t want to face tonight. I said I want kids/ Even though I can’t give up the things that make me childish/ But it ain’t bad at all,” he sings on the track.

The song also seems to reference the fable of David and Goliath and focuses on his desire to change for the better.

“Pour some wine, there’s still some time left/And maybe there’s a little bit of me left to spare. I never had David’s heart/ I’ll apologize to God for all the trouble I caused/ Maybe that’s a good place for me to start,” Bryan added.

The announcement about the song came later BFF podcast co-hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards dropped the diss track “The Smallest Man”, in which Richards calls Bryan a “bastard”.

“I say trust me, your pants are on fire / You’re a bastard, you just created a new rival / Soon you’ll need a revival,” he raps in the song.

Their songs also seem to address his love life, including his year-long marriage to ex Rose Madden and subsequent relationship with Deb Peifer.

Richards adds: “You say you remember everything, I guess it’s not because you forgot your wedding ring/I’m not that sublimated, you’re so good at being a country bumpkin with no second syllable two”.

Portnoy also said, “Bri is lucky to be free of ZB and his sexually transmitted diseases,” seemingly referring to Bryan and his rumored illnesses.

The song appears to have been removed from TikTok and YouTube. Portnoy took to Twitter to share why that is.

“‘Smallest Man’ was once again taken down from YouTube. We think it was the outro that caused the copyright issue. My friend Josh Richards didn’t tell us he was signed music with the Warner Music group and they own his videos like,” he shared.

He went on to reveal that Bryan is also signed to Warner Music Group, but they do not own Portnoy.

“I will write 10,000 op-eds, I will die in feces, I will put my headphones on the hot rod twice,” Portnoy added.

He went on to call Warner and Bryan “pu–ies.”

This isn’t the first time Portnoy has criticized Bryan following their split. In an episode of Unnamed programPortnoy was asked if he is now “officially a Zach Brown hater.” He cheekily responded by saying, “I’ve never been a fan.”

Portnoy went on to call Bryan a “cheater” and said he doesn’t give him good vibes.

Bryan announced he and LaPaglia were going their separate ways on October 22 in a post on his Instagram account.

“Brianna and I have broken up and I respect and love her with all my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I will always thank her. I have had an extremely difficult year.” personally and struggling with some pretty serious things,” he said in the post.

“I’m not perfect and I never will be. Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, so will mine,” he added.

News of their breakup first broke after Bryan was discovered on Raya, a dating app. LaPaglia later said Bryan blindsided her with his breakup post and “outed” her.

Richards also said in the diss: “I said trust me, burn your pants / Tinder, Bumble, Raya, know you’re a liar.”

Bryan has since blocked LaPaglia on all social media.
