After the absolute chaos of the Timothée Chalamet lookalike contest in Manhattan’s Washington Square Park this past weekend, it looks like there’s another lookalike event going on. This time it’s for former One Direction star Zayn Malik.

Chaos ensued during Sunday’s Chalamet likeness contest, when the Academy Award nominee suddenly appeared in the frenzied scene. The NYPD arrested four participants for disorderly conduct as participants flooded into the real Chalamet.
At the end of the event, 21-year-old Miles Mitchell won the Wonka costume contest, walking away with a $50 cash prize. While contest organizers were fined $500 for holding an “unauthorized costume contest,” advertised through flyers posted around the city, it appears they are at it again.
Flyers around the city have begun to appear for the Malik contest, scheduled to be held at Maria Hernandez Park on November 17. The prize is listed as a free tattoo when those who Participate in preparing to compete for the jury position.
Many X users shared both their excitement and trepidation over the event, seeing that it could be as disastrous as the last similar attempt.

While the British singer is yet to comment on the event, he recently postponed his Stairway to the Sky tour following the sudden death of his former bandmate, Liam Payne. Malik will tour on January 21 in Washington, DC, before heading to New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. He will end in San Francisco on February 3.
