Zelda Breath of The Wild Yiga Clan Hideout Game

The Yiga Clan Hideout is a location featured in the game “Breath of the Wild.” It is situated in the Gerudo Highlands and was once a Gerudo temple, now serving as the secret base for the Yiga Clan and their leader, Master Kohga. Link, the protagonist, must visit this hideout as part of the “Divine Beast Vah Naboris” Main Quest to retrieve Riju’s stolen Thunder Helm.

The hideout is hidden at the end of the Karusa Valley in the Gerudo Desert. Upon entering, Link encounters a circular chamber filled with torches and cloth banners. By burning the banners, he reveals objects and enemies behind them, and one of the banners leads to the entrance of the Yiga Clan Hideout.

Inside the hideout, Link must sneak past patrolling Yiga Blademasters, who carry Windcleaver swords and torches. If spotted, the Blademasters summon Footsoldiers with Duplex Bows to attack Link. It is essential to be cautious, as a direct hit from a Blademaster’s sword results in instant death, even if Link has full health or defensive abilities.

To navigate through the hideout, Link can use Mighty Bananas to distract the Blademasters and find strategic paths. Throughout the hideout, there are treasure chests containing valuable gems, and Link can use Magnesis to locate hidden exits and secret rooms.

After successfully sneaking through the hideout, Link confronts Master Kohga, the leader of the Yiga Clan, in an open area outside. A battle ensues, and upon defeating Kohga, he summons a large metallic Yiga ball that knocks him into a pit. Despite his defeat, Kohga warns that the Yiga Clan will continue pursuing Link in the Overworld.

As a reward for defeating Kohga, Link receives the stolen Thunder Helm, which grants Riju the power to withstand Divine Beast Naboris’ Lightning and allows Link to safely enter Naboris.

The Yiga Clan Hideout provides a challenging and memorable part of Link’s adventure in “Breath of the Wild,” and its completion is crucial to progressing in the game’s storyline.

  20. Smash the pots in the room to collect a bunch of arrows (they will come in handy for what’s ahead).
  21. Utilize magnesis on the discolored wall to reveal the entrance to the boss fight with Master Kohga.

Zelda Breath of The Wild Yiga Clan Hideout Guide

The Yiga Clan Hideout is a location in the Gerudo Highlands. Inside, you’ll encounter Yiga Blademasters. Sneak past them using bananas as distractions. Explore the hideout for treasure chests and secret paths.

In the end, faces Master Kohga, the Yiga Clan’s leader. Defeat him by stunning and using Magnesis to control the spiked spheres he summons. Repeat until victory.

The Yiga Clan Hideout is situated north of Gerudo Tower and southeast of Gerudo Summit in the Gerudo Highlands Region. Upon entering, you’ll encounter a large dias with steps on all sides adorned with banners bearing a fire symbol. There are torches scattered around, along with a Duplex Bow and lit braziers. To uncover their secrets, you can either use the torches or ignite an arrow with the fires and shoot the banners.

Starting with the banner on the right of the entrance, you’ll discover a chest containing a Sapphire. Moving to the right of that, a tapestry reveals two Keese (bat-like creatures). Another tapestry to the right reveals, even more, Keese, and the subsequent one contains a treasure chest holding a Purple Rupee (50). The true path lies ahead, but you can explore other alcoves for food boxes and more Keese.

Moving up the stairs on the true path, you’ll come across Barta, the Gerudo Guard, who is being held captive in a cell. The hideout is filled with Yiga Clan members, including tough Yiga Blademasters who will call for backup if they spot you. However, they can be defeated by exploiting their weakness – Bananas. By dropping a Banana in their path, they’ll be distracted, allowing you to sneak past.

Utilizing this tactic, take the path down the stairs and distract the Yiga Blademaster using Bananas to move forward. Another Blademaster stands in front of the exit; you can sneak past by laying a banana or opt for the long route to access a chest with a Sapphire. Additional bananas can be found near him on a high post, which you can break to create further distractions.

Continuing up the stairs, the right path is guarded by several Yiga Blademasters, but climbing a ladder leads you to a horde of bananas and a chest with a Topaz. Returning to the main room, set up distractions by dropping bananas from the ledge above. You can also find a Ruby, Opal, and Amber in the corner if you’re careful.

Hopping over the stone fence near the Ruby, you’ll encounter another Yiga Blademaster circling a table. Distract him to sneak past and reach a tall ladder going into the rafters, allowing you to move above the scene below. There’s a chest in the center with a Silver Rupee, and in the far corner, a Blademaster guards a door. Climbing over the archway leads to another chest in an alcove with a Topaz, and you can bypass the guard using a ladder on the other side.

In the next hall, you’ll find a small hole with spikes on all sides that you need to glide through from the top of the ladder. On the other side, you’ll discover chests with two Gold Rupees (300). Be cautious not to burn the banner, as it leads back to the main room. Instead, distract the guard below with a banana to slip past.

In the subsequent large room, you’ll find a chest with more bananas, but there’s more to uncover. Use Magnesis to reveal three chests buried in the sand, containing a Ruby and two Topaz, along with a hidden fake metal wall. By turning it, you’ll exit the hideout into a large open area and encounter the Yiga Clan’s leader, Master Kohga.

Master Kohga possesses various tricks as the master of the Yiga Clan. He starts by protecting himself with an invulnerable shield until he summons and throws rock spheres at you. To stun him, shoot him with a bow while he’s summoning, causing the boulder to drop on him and leaving him vulnerable to attack. Repeat this process until he moves on to his next plan.

In the next phase, he’ll teleport to the middle of the room over a large pit and summon two spheres that he’ll spin before launching them at you. You’ll need to stun him again, but this time, do it when one sphere is over his head, causing it to hit him on the way down. Stun him in this manner to engage in close combat.

In the final phase, Master Kohga summons a huge spiked sphere and uses Magnesis to direct it toward you while still protected by his shield. You must use your Magnesis to wrest control of the spiked sphere from him and send it crashing into his face. Continue this tactic until you emerge victorious in the battle.

Zelda Breath of The Wild Yiga Clan Hideout Gameplay

“Breath of the Wild” is an open-world action-adventure game where players take on the role of Link exploring the kingdom of Hyrule. The game emphasizes nonlinear gameplay, offering a vast world with no defined entrances or exits to areas, allowing players to freely explore and discover.

A key feature of the game is the physics engine, which lets players approach challenges in various ways, promoting experimentation. The introduction of a “chemistry engine” governs how objects interact with the player and the environment, creating dynamic scenarios, like metal objects attracting lightning during storms.

As Link, players can perform actions such as running, climbing, swimming, and gliding with a paraglider, all limited by stamina. Weapons and shields degrade over time, promoting resource management and adaptation. Items have multiple uses, like using wooden weapons to light fires or shields to collect enemy arrows.

Cooking food and elixirs from gathered materials allows players to replenish health, and stamina, and gain temporary bonuses. Link’s “Sheikah Slate” serves as a versatile tool, allowing marking waypoints, taking pictures, creating bombs, manipulating objects, and more.

Climbing plays a significant role in the gameplay, enabling players to access various locations creatively. Completing quests, activating towers, and clearing shrines, which contain puzzles and battles, grants rewards like health or stamina upgrades.

Discovering Korok Seeds hidden throughout Hyrule expands inventory space. Towns offer quests, sidequests, shops, and interactions with NPCs. Players can use Amiibo figures to summon items or familiar characters like Epona and Wolf Link.

“Breath of the Wild” provides an expansive and interactive world that rewards exploration, experimentation, and creative problem-solving, making it a standout entry in the Zelda series.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

“The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is a 2017 action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. The game is set at the end of the Zelda timeline, where players control an amnesiac character named Link. His mission is to save Princess Zelda and prevent the destructive force known as Calamity Ganon from destroying the world.

Players explore the vast open world of Hyrule, engaging in various activities like collecting items, solving puzzles, and completing side quests. The game encourages exploration and experimentation, offering a non-linear approach to the story.

The development of “Breath of the Wild” took five years, starting immediately after the release of “The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” in 2011. Led by director Hidemaro Fujibayashi and producer Eiji Aonuma, the development team aimed to reimagine the conventions of the Zelda series.

They introduced detailed chemistry and physics engines, drawing inspiration from games like “Shadow of the Colossus” and “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.” Monolith Soft, known for their work on the open-world Xenoblade Chronicles series, contributed to designing the game’s landscapes and topography.

Initially planned as a Wii U exclusive with a release date in 2015, the game was eventually launched on March 3, 2017, as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch and the final Nintendo game for the Wii U. “Breath of the Wild” received widespread acclaim and numerous Game of the Year awards. Critics praised its open-ended gameplay, immersive open-world design, and attention to detail.

However, some pointed out technical performance issues. It became the best-selling Zelda game and one of the best-selling video games of all time, selling over 30.69 million copies by 2022.

The game is considered one of the greatest video games of all time, lauded for its groundbreaking open-world design, emphasis on experimentation, physics-based sandbox, and emergent gameplay.

It has inspired many game developers and is often used as a point of comparison for other open-world games. The success of “Breath of the Wild” led to a spin-off game, “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity,” released in 2020. Additionally, a sequel titled “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” was released in 2023.
