Zethu Dlomo was born on March 31, 1989 in Lenasia, Gauteng, South Africa.
Since her parents migrated to Soweto from Lenasia when she was very young, she was raised and brought up in the Soweto area.
She had wanted to be a famous actress since she was a child, and with the support of her parents she dedicated her life to achieving this goal.

Zetu Dolomo was cast as “Maddie” in the third season of the Starz Network series Black Sails. She continued to star in the series for 16 episodes, playing Mr. Scott’s daughter Maddie until the end of the fourth season. The series brought her international recognition. The role of Maddie gave her the international exposure she had always desired.
