Jang Won Young was born on August 31, 2004 in Ichon-dong, Seoul, South Korea. She is the daughter of Jang Wal Seung, who runs a Chinese restaurant, while her mother’s name remains unknown. She has an older sister, Zhang Duoya, who is also an actress.
Jang completed his early education at Sinyongsan Elementary School and Yonggang Middle School in Seoul.
