early life
Zonke was born on October 11, 1979 in KwaZahle, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
She grew up in Port Elizabeth and later moved to Johannesburg. Her father, Vuyisile Dikana, and stepmother, Anneline Malebo, are both musicians.
Her father is the lead drummer of the band Black Slave and Flamingo. Her stepmother is the lead singer of the band Joy. Her stepmother and father played a crucial role in her career choice and path.

In 2016, Lionel Ritchie even came to South Africa for a music tour and she performed with him.
