Early life and education
Savage was born on October 22, 1992 in Newham, London, to a Haitian father and a Dominican mother. His father was a drug dealer. His mother, Heather Carmillia Joseph, raised him along with his six sisters and four brothers after moving to the United States.
His mother is Heather Carmillia Joseph and his father is Kevin Cornelius Emmons. He has two brothers: music artists TM1way and Quantivayus Joseph, and two sisters: Jayda Davis and Kyra Davis.
21 Savage’s childhood was marked by violence and crime as he grew up on the seedy streets of the town. In seventh grade, he was expelled from Stone Mountain Middle School for carrying a gun to defend against bullies.
After being expelled from all schools in DeKalb County, his mother enrolled him in a school in Gwinnett County. 21 Savage spent his first few months there and joined their football team as a wide receiver and cornerback.
