Jay is currently in the spotlight due to a legal case involving his alleged involvement in a sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl and Sean “Diddy” Combs at an MTV Video Awards after-party Music Awards. According to court documents, “Jane Doe” alleges that she was trying to get access to the event when she came into contact with a driver hired by the Bad Boy Records mogul. She was then allegedly escorted to a gathering at a residence.
Jay wasted no time addressing his involvement in the lawsuit after being implicated alongside Diddy in the alleged assault. Criticizing attorney Tony Buzbee for his “demand letter,” the music mogul took to his Roc Nation Instagram to release a comprehensive statement saying the plaintiff’s attorney is “blackmailing” him.
He continues to deny the allegations against him, focusing particularly on what his legal team has highlighted as inconsistencies.
