He is in his eleventh term in the House of Representatives, where he serves as a member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees the National Intelligence Agency.
He is now focused on ending the Covid-19 pandemic by ramping up testing, tracing and creating a vaccine.

Early life
Adam Bennett Schiff is the son of Ed Schiff and Sherry Schiff.
He was born in 1960 on June 12 in Framingham, Massachusetts, United States.
His family was Jewish but later moved to Scottsdale Arizona in 1970 and from there to Alamo California in 1972.
He attended Monta Vista High School in Danville and graduated in 1978.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University in 1982 and his Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1988.
After some reflection, he spent a year as a paralegal for Judge William Matthew Byrne Jr.

Career
Adam Schiff began his career as a legal representative for Judge William Matthew Byrne Jr. In 1987, he served as a fellow United States Attorney for the Central District until 1993.
In 1996, he was elected to speak for the 21st District of the California State Senate. In 2000, he was the Democratic candidate for the United States House of Representatives in California’s 27th Congressional District.
He defeated James E. Regan, a conservative candidate, on November 7, 2000, and began his first term on January 3, 2001. He was reappointed from 2002-2020 and is currently serving his eleventh term in January 2021.
Some of his notable accomplishments include: The 2003 invasion of Iraq, he spoke out about America’s killing intent, he handled the Helicopter Noise Reduction Act, Intelligence and Surveillance Reforms, Investigation of the attack on the Benghazi compound.
Adam Schiff supports the Saudi Arabia-led reconciliation campaign, changes to the Authorization of War and the Power to Fight ISIS, he is an ally of Israel and discriminates against Jews, and he is also a key player in the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.

Adam Schiff married Eve Schiff in 1995 after five years of dating. They have two children: Lexi Schiff and Elijah Schiff.
