Early life
Alice Kamande was the last of five children born to her parents. Her father, Gideon, passed away in 2011. She has an older sister named Susan. Outside of being a jewelry and fashion designer, she founded the show DareDream.

Career
Alice burst onto the scene in 2009, with her successful debut single, Ni Wewe, a stunning worship ballad that made the industry sit up and take notice.
However, she didn’t start out as a singer like she does now, her first stop was a bank job. Unsatisfied, she decided to resign without any backup plan in sight. Without looking back, Alice knew it was time to live her life’s purpose; music. After all, she always knew she could sing.
When she was just 7 years old, she imitated famous artists. She would go on to win a talent competition in Form One and would later contribute to a musical compilation for the school. In Form Three, she started writing her own songs. During this time, she rededicated her life to Christ and was told by the missionary who led her to this commitment that she would become a great singer.

Thankfully, Alice didn’t have to search for a time to record her debut single. Her brother-in-law, renowned producer Robert ‘R-Kay’ Kamanzi, whom she describes as her mentor, is just a short distance away. The song and video performed extremely well, and before long, the hitherto unknown artist was not only on the charts but also a talking point in the Gospel music industry.
